Valencia oranges make the most distinctive and (we think) best candied peel. After a multi-day process that brings out the best of the orange, without the strong bitter taste that some candied peel can have, we dry and then coat each piece in bittersweet chocolate.

Lemon peel tends to be much harder to do well—the inherent bitterness of the peel and pith are significantly harder to tame. Our Chocolate Covered Lemon Peel keeps just a touch of that bitterness balanced with the lemony flavor that we all love. The bittersweet chocolate coating just seals the deal.

deliciously addictive

Both of the Chocolate Covered citrus peels are deliciously addictive. The flavors and texture are spot on. My only request would be to make this with bittersweet chocolate (70% or above) to temper the sweetness and the guilt.
